Tsuyumi was founded in 2004 in New York by Japanese designer Ms. Iizuka. After working as a fashion designer in Japan, she moved to New York for family reasons and resumed her creative path by making hats. Her designs quickly gained attention among fashion-conscious individuals, leading to the launch of her brand.

Upon returning to Japan, she began designing clothing in earnest. Produced in small batches rather than mass-produced, Tsuyumi garments are designed to “look stylish simply by putting them on.” Each piece reflects the designer’s experience and craftsmanship, incorporating techniques such as hand-sewing, specialty stitching, and carefully considered pattern design.
