5/8 STUDIOS is a jewelry brand that creates simple and sophisticated pieces under the concept of "seasoning your style with salt and pepper." Founded by a Japanese female designer based in New York, this brand offers jewelry that complements your style every day of the year.

The collection features a variety of items, including ear cuffs, rings, and necklaces. In this selection, we are introducing some of the most popular pieces. Since these items cannot be mass-produced, we will be accepting orders in the form of a pre-order event, creating only what has been ordered.

Attention to the Design of the Clasp

This chain necklace is designed to be a focal point for simple clothing like shirts and t-shirts. The clasp is original, featuring a leaf-like design that you hook to use. When you align it with the collar of a shirt, it creates a soft accent around the neck, subtly enhancing your overall impression.

You can fasten it in the front or back, allowing you to adjust its appearance to match your styling for the day. This piece adds a touch of individuality to a simple outfit, truly embodying the essence of seasoning like salt and pepper.

Like Salt and Pepper Enhancing a Dish

5/8 STUDIOS began in 2020 in a small apartment in New York, starting with sample creation. The designer realized the importance of finishing touches in styling while designing clothing and accessories for apparel brands in New York and Tokyo. The impression of an outfit can change remarkably depending on whether you wear jewelry or not. For instance, a casual look of a t-shirt and jeans can become significantly more sophisticated by adding a piece of jewelry and pairing it with quality shoes and a leather bag. Just like the final sprinkle of salt or pepper enhances a dish, jewelry adds that last touch of spice to your outfit.

However, there are surprisingly few ideal pieces of jewelry that can fulfill such a role. This realization became the catalyst for launching the brand.

As I continued to create while learning techniques at a jewelry studio in New York, I began to receive requests to purchase my pieces, leading to a more formal start for the brand. Having experience in designing clothing and accessories, I became convinced that jewelry is not just an accessory but a "salt and pepper" that complements, enhances, and harmonizes with fashion. Jewelry exists along the continuum of fashion design and craftsmanship, seamlessly blending into various styles while bringing out individuality. We are dedicated to creating practical and contemporary designs that reflect this philosophy.

5/8 STUDIOS began in 2020 in a New York apartment, making samples. While designing clothes and accessories, designer Fuki Sakai realized the big impact that jewelry can have on coordination. Believing that jewelry has the role of adding spice to clothes, he realized that the ideal jewelry was lacking. This thought led to the establishment of the brand.

After learning techniques at a jewelry studio in New York, the brand got off the ground in earnest. The brand pursues practical and contemporary designs that bring out individuality while harmonizing with fashion.
