The collection features a variety of items, including ear cuffs, rings, and necklaces. In this introduction, we present a selection of our most popular items. As these pieces cannot be mass-produced, we will be accepting orders through a pre-order event, creating only what has been ordered.

A Designer's Cherished Memory

The HAPPINESS RING is a chunky ring that embodies nuances born from handcrafting. The heart motif, carved by hand, is actually a modern reinterpretation of the designer's very first ring. While such plump motif rings tend to feel heavy, the delicate carving by skilled artisans makes it feel incredibly light and comfortable to wear. This slightly rugged heart motif ring is perfect as an adult pinky ring without being overly sweet.

Infusing Meaning into Materials

Jewelry holds a special place for many people. That’s why at 5/8 STUDIOS, we want to imbue our materials with deep meaning. We have adopted "Refined Metal" for this purpose. The silver and gold used in jewelry often have unclear origins and quality. Therefore, 5/8 STUDIOS uses materials certified by the Japan Refined Metal Association, which adheres to strict standards.

Refined Metal is made from precious metals extracted from discarded items like old mobile phones and computers, transformed into high-quality jewelry. We cherish the cycle in which tools that have supported our lives take on new forms and accompany us once again in our daily lives. As environmental consideration becomes a standard value in the fashion industry, 5/8 STUDIOS aims for more than just eco-friendly production. We focus on sustainable practices, timeless designs, and reliable craftsmanship to create jewelry that enhances the individuality of the wearer.

Like Salt and Pepper in Cooking

5/8 STUDIOS began in 2020 in a small apartment in New York, starting with sample creation. The designer realized the importance of finishing touches in styling while designing clothing and accessories for apparel brands in New York and Tokyo. The impression of an outfit can change remarkably with the addition of jewelry. For instance, a casual look with a T-shirt and jeans can be elevated to a sophisticated vibe with just one piece of jewelry, paired with quality shoes and a leather bag. Just like the final sprinkle of salt or pepper in cooking, jewelry adds that last touch of spice to your ensemble.

However, the ideal jewelry that can fulfill such a role is surprisingly scarce in the market. This realization sparked the idea to establish the brand.

As the designer continued to create while learning techniques at a jewelry studio in New York, requests to "stock" the pieces began to come in, leading to the brand's official launch. Having experience in clothing and accessory design, the designer became convinced that jewelry is not just an accessory, but a presence that complements, enhances, and harmonizes with fashion—like salt and pepper. Jewelry exists along the continuum of fashion design and craftsmanship, seamlessly integrating into each style while bringing out individuality. We create practical and contemporary designs that embody this philosophy.
