5/8 STUDIOS is a jewelry brand that creates simple and sophisticated pieces with the concept of "seasoning your style with salt and pepper." Founded by a Japanese female designer based in New York, this brand offers jewelry that accompanies your style every day of the year.

The collection features a variety of items, including ear cuffs, rings, and necklaces. In this introduction, we present a selection of particularly popular pieces. As these items cannot be mass-produced, they will be made only upon order during our pre-order event.

Wear it as a choker or a necklace

The SERENHIDE CHOKER (necklace) is a choker made from soft deer leather, 2mm in width, featuring a curved silver925 bar as a focal point. The leather can be worn draped like a choker or tied at your preferred length. The contrast between the silver and leather textures adds depth, making it a stylish accent piece. It can also be wrapped around your wrist, providing versatility for everyday wear.

Like salt and pepper that enhance your cooking

5/8 STUDIOS began in 2020 in a small apartment in New York, starting with sample creation. The designer realized the importance of finishing touches in styling while working on clothing and accessories for apparel brands in New York and Tokyo. The impression of an outfit can change remarkably with the addition of jewelry. For instance, a casual look with a T-shirt and jeans can be transformed into a sophisticated ensemble by adding a piece of jewelry and pairing it with quality shoes and a leather bag. Just like the final sprinkle of salt or pepper in cooking, jewelry adds that last touch of spice to your outfit.

However, there are surprisingly few pieces of jewelry that can fulfill such a role. This realization sparked the creation of the brand.

As the designer continued to create while learning techniques at a jewelry studio in NY, requests to purchase began to come in, leading to the official launch of the brand. With experience in clothing and accessory design, the designer became convinced that jewelry is not just an accessory, but a "salt and pepper" that complements, enhances, and harmonizes with fashion. Jewelry exists on the continuum of fashion design and craftsmanship, seamlessly integrating into each style while bringing out individuality. This philosophy drives the creation of practical and modern designs.

This choker features a soft deer leather strap that is 2mm wide, accented with a curved silver 925 bar piece.

5/8 STUDIOS began in 2020 in a New York apartment, making samples. While designing clothes and accessories, designer Fuki Sakai realized the big impact that jewelry can have on coordination. Believing that jewelry has the role of adding spice to clothes, he realized that the ideal jewelry was lacking. This thought led to the establishment of the brand.

After learning techniques at a jewelry studio in New York, the brand got off the ground in earnest. The brand pursues practical and contemporary designs that bring out individuality while harmonizing with fashion.
