Wrap pants are pants whose waist area wraps around or overlaps in front. With their asymmetrical design, they might seem tricky to coordinate at first glance, but once you actually try them on, you'll find they pair well with cut-and-sew tops you already own, regardless of fit — making them an easy choice even on busy mornings. Another nice bonus is that cinching the waist can help make your legs look longer and your overall silhouette more flattering.

This time, we focused closely on the distinctive wrap design.

The right front panel overlaps generously and fastens with a button in a wrap style, giving the pants a three-dimensional look and beautiful movement as you walk. There's also a snap button on the inside to keep everything in place, so you can feel at ease whether you're walking a lot or traveling.

With elastic only at the back of the waist, these pants look neat and put-together while actually being very easy to wear. They're a dependable choice for days when you want to relax — like meeting friends for a weekend lunch — while still looking stylish.

Surprisingly light and soft

For these pants, we chose a natural linen-and-cotton blend fabric. Pick them up and you'll be surprised by how light and soft they feel — and there's a reason for that: the fabric is carefully worked and softened over a long period of time, then dried in the sun. The result is a relaxed, lived-in texture right from the start, as if it were already your favorite old pair. The natural, washed appearance, achieved through the painstaking care of experienced artisans, is perfect for a relaxed, grown-up casual style.

"Thanks to the linen content, the fabric has a crisp, dry feel that should keep you cool even on hot days. Since the fabric has enough substance, there's no see-through issue even in BEIGE, which is a nice point — I think many people worry about sheerness when choosing light-colored bottoms."

"The length is designed slightly long. You can tuck in a top or pair it with a cropped top to highlight the waist design as a focal point; or you can cover the waist with a top for a look similar to basic wide pants — either way, it's versatile enough to match with any top. In summer, a T-shirt and pants combo can end up feeling a bit 'ordinary,' but having a pair of pants with this kind of design makes dressing up fun even on hot days."

"With a relaxed fit and length, you can feel the crisp texture of the linen directly against your skin, making for a refreshing wear even in summer. In my case, I wanted to pair them with heels or platform shoes given the long length, and by folding the hem up twice, I was able to wear them with flat shoes without the hem dragging. So I think I'll have about 5cm taken off the length."

"There are two buttons at the waist, but since the back is elasticized, those with a slim build should be able to put them on and take them off without undoing the buttons."
