The calendar has already turned to June, and with the height of summer approaching, ZUTTO will be introducing plenty of new items. One of our newly released pieces, the Ultima Cotton Sleeveless Pullover, was designed to be an easy choice even for those who have never gone sleeveless before.

A surprisingly easy-to-wear sleeveless top

Sleeveless tops aren't just worn alone—they also layer nicely with cardigans and hoodies. Since there are no sleeves, your arms won't feel bunched up, and if you carry a layering piece with you, you'll be well prepared for summer air conditioning too. This shape really comes in handy during the season when there's such a big difference between the temperature outside and inside.

Wearable from now through the height of summer, this sleeveless pullover has been finished with a design that looks elegant even worn on its own. The soft, gentle silhouette resembles a blouse, and combined with the refined fabric, it's a piece that looks beautiful from the front, side, and back.

A smooth, refined tenjiku fabric

The fabric used is ULTIMA tenjiku, a 100% cotton tenjiku (jersey-knit) material.

Ultima cotton refers to a fabric made from extremely rare raw cotton grown using snowmelt water from California's San Joaquin Valley. To bring out the natural softness of the cotton itself, the fibers are spun into thread using a special, highly prized method that takes great time and care to avoid damaging them.

The beautiful fabric that results has a subtle sheen and a refined look. It's also characterized by a smooth touch against the skin, making it comfortable to wear even in summer when humidity and sweat can make you feel sticky.

We've prepared three colors: D.NAVY, which pairs easily with any outfit; a basic, cool-looking WHITE; and BEIGE, an earthy tone that lends a calm impression.

Gathers and tucks create a soft, gentle silhouette

When it comes to sleeveless tops, many people hesitate to try them because they're self-conscious about their upper arms or shoulder width. To make this piece easy to choose even for those people, the body extends over the sleeve openings by design, providing balanced coverage for the areas people tend to worry about. The design has been carefully adjusted so the shoulders and arms aren't emphasized, resulting in a natural silhouette no matter who wears it.

Gathers at the front and tucks at the back create a soft silhouette, and with the back panel cut longer, the hem sways lightly as you move.

We now offer a clothing alteration service.

Up until now, whenever a customer's beloved item broke, we've worked as much as possible with the maker to establish a repair process. However, when it came to clothing, we hadn't yet reached the point of offering a ZUTTO original service. But since setting up an in-house atelier for making clothes, we're now able to offer "clothing alterations and repairs," and we've decided to launch this as a paid service for our customers.

"I'd like to shorten the hem of a skirt I purchased by 3cm."

"There's a hole in a knit item I own, and I'd like it darned."

"I'd like the hem of my denim pants taken up while keeping the existing aging on the hem intact."

We accept requests like these for mending and altering clothing. Of course we can handle items purchased at ZUTTO, but we'll also do our best to accommodate items purchased at other stores.
