Perfect for the changing of the seasons, this raglan shirt and cafe pants are made from lightweight, airy denim.

Denim was hard to reach for during summer, when we were choosing clothes that felt cool and easy to wear. But now that the hot season has ended, it's finally denim's time to shine.

ZUTTO has newly created a denim shirt and pants. Denim tends to give an impression of being heavy and stiff, and while softening it up over time is part of the pleasure of wearing denim, there's no denying that it can feel a bit restrictive at first. This time, we chose a lightweight 6oz denim fabric, finishing these pieces so they're comfortable to wear from the start while still letting you enjoy how the fabric changes over time.

Denim that's soft from the very first wear

For this denim wear, we used 6oz twill pima denim for both the top and bottom. We chose a high-quality fabric made through consistent production, from spinning through processing, resulting in an exceptionally well-finished material.

The unit "ounce (oz)," which indicates fabric thickness, expresses weight per square meter of fabric—the smaller the number, the thinner the fabric, and the larger the number, the thicker it is. Denim is classified as "light ounce" for under 10oz, "regular ounce" for 10 to 15oz, and "heavy ounce" for 15oz and above. The fabric used this time is light ounce. Since most standard jeans use regular ounce denim, you can see how thin this fabric is. It has the natural softness of cotton, making it a fabric you can enjoy wearing across a longer stretch of seasons rather than being limited to just one.

Although it's thin, the more you wear it, the softer and more comfortable it becomes, developing fading and color changes—so you can enjoy the aging process unique to denim. This time, the fabric has also been given a wash treatment after being made into the finished product, so it's less likely to shrink even when washed at home. That makes it easy to care for, which is a nice bonus.

Cafe pants that are easy to move in and easy to style

At first glance, they look like a long skirt, but these "cafe pants" are actually pants.

By adding an extra panel to the front, the pants are made to look like a long skirt. Denim long skirts or wide pants tend to feel heavy, but the key feature of these pants is that they feel light and easy to wear even with all that fabric.

The waist has elastic only at the back, so it's designed to look beautiful even when tucking in your top.

The beautiful A-line silhouette that flares toward the hem is a shape that pairs easily with tops. Plus, since the length reaches the ankle, it goes well with any kind of shoe—short boots, high-top sneakers, loafers, or ballet flats. It's nice not having to agonize over which shoes to wear at the front door on busy mornings.

A shirt that can be the star of any outfit

At first glance, this split raglan shirt has a plain silhouette, but it's packed with details that let it take center stage in any outfit. With a clean stand collar and a roomy body width, you can pair it with a high-neck inner layer or have fun accessorizing with items like scarves.

The raglan sleeve design features a diagonal seam running from the neck to the underarm. It retains the neat impression of a proper shirt while offering the same ease of arm movement that raglan sleeves provide.

We added gathers to the back panel. This keeps the shirt from looking flat, adding a touch of sweetness to the otherwise handsome impression of the denim shirt.
