What do you wear during your winter relaxation time?

If you turn up the heater too high, the dryness becomes a concern, but if you turn it down and layer up too much, it can feel a bit restrictive. Many people may struggle to find just the right style for their time at home in winter. During the day, it's nice to wear thin, functional inner layers that prioritize ease of movement, but it's handy to have something to throw on during the times you feel chilly—like right after waking up before the room warms up, or after a bath. Stoles and blankets are warm and nice too, but if you'll be moving around doing housework, something with proper sleeves is recommended.

The "Ultra Brush Fleece-Lined Long Cardigan" made by ZUTTO is a gown-style design. It works over whatever you're wearing underneath, and since it has no buttons, you can put it on and take it off smoothly. Plush and fluffy—a material the designer fell in love with

The gown is made from a fabric called Ultra Brush. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary sweatshirt fabric, but the inside is brushed to a soft, blanket-like texture, making it wonderfully comfortable and warm against the skin. The designer fell in love with this fabric, and it has been used in the past for pullovers and other popular items.

When choosing fabrics for ZUTTO's clothing, we generally prefer natural fibers, but this fabric's soft, fluffy touch felt so good that we simply had to use it. The outer surface is knit in a high gauge, giving it a clean, refined look, while the inner surface has a high-density brushed texture that feels wonderful against the skin. It achieves both a beautiful silhouette and comfortable wearability, and the plush softness of the brushed side is the kind of thing you'll want to keep touching. It also has good resilience and stretch, so it holds its shape well even after washing. It's a gown you can wash without worry and enjoy for a long time.

This linen home dress was created from a shape originally used for salon dresses, with sleeves added and designed for 3-way use. We aimed for something that's not only practical as a kappogi (Japanese-style apron/smock), but also looks stylish when simply thrown on.

We hope you'll enjoy this piece in three ways: as a kappogi or apron for housework like cooking and laundry, as a robe for relaxing at home, and as a dress for quick outings. It can be worn over a sweater, comes in a generous size that covers the knees, and is made from quality Lithuanian linen.

▼Cotton-Linen Quilted Gown Coat

For those who dislike the cold but aren't especially fond of wool, we recommend this gown, made from linen and cotton fabric quilted together with a layer of cotton batting inside. Light and breathable yet warm, the natural crinkled texture and softness of its kotohira-daki weave let it settle comfortably against the body without any stiffness.

There are two ties on each side—one at the front and one at the side—so you can tie it cache-cœur style or knot it at the front, changing the silhouette as you like. This is one reason it looks stylish even as loungewear. You can also simply bring the front panels together and fasten them for a looser fit, which makes it easy to throw on over a sweater or cardigan in winter.
