ZUTTO's long-sleeve T-shirts have received a warm welcome every time we've released them. This time, we planned a refined piece that can be worn either layered or on its own.

Long-sleeve tees tend to give off a casual impression because of how easy they are to wear, but the "Cotton High Power Ponch Long Sleeve Tuck T-Shirt" was carefully crafted with attention to detail and fabric selection to boost its versatility, overturning that typical image of a long-sleeve tee. The result is a piece you won't easily find elsewhere—one that resembles an elegant woven blouse.

The secret lies in the design details.

The first thing you'll notice is the tuck placed at the center of the front. At a glance, this design resembles the buttons of a blouse or shirt, and it plays a part in creating a polished impression.

Slits are added to both sides of the hem, creating a difference in length between the front and back. Rounding the hem also makes it look more like a shirt, especially when layered.

We also paid close attention to the cuffs. Visible stitching would have given the shirt a casual feel, so we created separate cuff pieces and attached them instead.

Alongside these details, we also placed great importance on the fit. We searched for just the right balance—a fit that's not too oversized, so it can be layered, yet not so tight that it feels restrictive when worn. A slightly dropped shoulder also makes it easier to move around the shoulder area.

Cotton fabric with just the right amount of sheen

For the fabric, we chose a high-density jersey material made with 100-count single-ply cotton yarn. Knitted in a style known as ponch, it offers stretch and smoothness while still having enough body and durability. It's resistant to wrinkles and holds its shape well—qualities that are especially welcome in a long-sleeve T-shirt meant to be worn throughout the year.

It's also knit at a high gauge using fine yarn, so the knit structure is nearly invisible. A surface finishing treatment further reduces fuzz to the minimum, giving it an elegant, glossy appearance. Although the fabric is relatively thin, it's not see-through, so you can wear it with confidence on its own as well.
