Loosened from the core for a natural texture

Depending on the piece, some linen can feel stiff or prickly against bare skin, but this one has a soft, gentle, fluffy touch.

The fabric used is a 50-count linen broadcloth treated with plat air-in processing. Plat air-in processing involves kneading and working the fabric repeatedly over a long period of time, loosening the linen (a fabric woven from flax fiber) from its core to create a natural texture. It also results in a light, soft finish, giving the fabric its characteristic fullness.

With a plain cotton blouse, wrinkles can be a concern, but this one already has an airy softness and an elegant, natural wrinkled texture from the start, so day-to-day care is easy.

3. Soft, lovely puffed sleeves

The sleeves are gathered with elastic, creating a soft, full silhouette like balloon sleeves. The sides feature somewhat deep slits, with a difference in length between the front and back.

This difference makes it easy to vary how you tuck in the hem, so a style where only the front is tucked into your bottoms looks great too. For someone around 160cm tall, the hem will likely feel a bit longer than a typical cut-and-sewn top, but this length makes it easy to balance when paired with slim pants, and it's also long enough that you can tuck it in loosely for a slightly puffed-out look.
