■We were thoroughly particular about the material.

During the rainy season, rainwear gets more use, but it often leaves you sweaty inside and can be tricky to coordinate with everyday clothes.

This cotton fabric solves exactly that problem.

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary cotton fabric, but it actually has excellent water-repellent performance.

By applying a nanotechnology called nano-Wing®︎, this fabric achieves superior water repellency while retaining the natural texture and breathability of cotton.

What is nano-Wing®︎・・・
"nano-Wing is a material that applies nanotechnology, manipulating molecules at the nano scale (one billionth of a meter) to improve materials."

Rather than coating the surface of the fabric with a water-repellent finish, this technology works by letting a water-repellent liquid soak into the fabric, leaving behind pores that block water molecules while remaining on the fabric itself. Because the gaps between fibers aren't sealed, the fabric maintains its water-repellent function while also offering moisture absorption and breathability.

There are also 6 other wonderful features. It resists mud splashes and stains and dries quickly, making it useful for outdoor activities too.

■A Beautiful A-Line Silhouette

We designed the silhouette as a near-straight A-line so that the eye is drawn downward for a slimming, streamlined look.

While the silhouette is sleek, the design offers enough ease to comfortably stride with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart.

A deep slit at the hem also makes for great ease of movement. The subtle glimpse of skin adds a touch of lightness to the overall look.

There are large, practical pockets on the sides. They're big enough to hold a wallet or smartphone, which is a nice touch for going out hands-free.

The waist features a wide fully elasticized band for comfort at all times. Since it doesn't feel tight even when sitting, it's a great recommendation for those who work at a desk.

■Compared by Height

With long skirts, the length and silhouette are always a concern. So we had two staff members of different heights try it on for comparison.

The hem length and overall volume can look quite different depending on height, so please use this as a reference.

Staff A: Height 162cm

Usual size: M

The hem length fell about 3cm above the ankle. The deep slit kept my legs from feeling restricted, making it easy to move around. The fabric has just the right thickness, so it should be usable across a long stretch of the season. I also appreciated the pockets, positioned right where my arms naturally fall. It felt not only stylish but also very practical.

Staff B: Height 156cm

Usual size: M

The length is such that the ankles are just slightly visible. It has a straight silhouette, but the fabric moves easily and lets you walk and move comfortably. The fabric is on the thinner-to-medium side, but I didn't find it see-through at all. The elastic waistband has some width to it, so if you want to shorten the length a bit, you can simply fold it over to adjust.
