An apron you put on for everyday cooking and cleaning. Even though you may not wear it for long stretches at a time, using it every single day means small inconveniences tend to build up over time, and before you know it, you find yourself reaching for an "easy-to-use apron." Our ZUTTO staff had this same experience, which led us to create this original apron.

A design packed with everything ZUTTO believes makes for an "easy-to-use apron": the Linen Cotton Apron with Kitchen Cloth. Of course, what counts as "easy to use" differs from person to person, but this original apron began by reconsidering the conventions that most aprons follow as a given—things like "straps are supposed to look like this" or "pockets are supposed to be like that."

Shoulder straps shaped to keep your neck from stiffening

Most apron straps are the type that hook around the neck, but many people find that the strain concentrated on a single point of the neck can lead to headaches. So we made the straps go over both shoulders instead, to help distribute the weight and reduce strain even a little.

On top of that, the shoulder straps can be tied and adjusted to whatever length you like. That way, there's no risk of buying it only to find the length doesn't fit and the bib section doesn't sit right.

Cross the shoulder straps and thread them through the holes to adjust them to whatever length you prefer.

Wearing the straps crossed at the back keeps them from slipping off your shoulders.

A design that can be adjusted to your own size while keeping the neck area from getting stiff or tired. Since this is something you reach for every day, being "easy on the body" is an important point.

Since there's nothing to hang the shoulder straps on, we added a loop on the back of the bib. This makes it perfect for hanging storage too.

POINT. 2

A pocket placed at the left hip so it won't bump into the counter

Aren't there quite a few people who don't actually use the pocket that comes with their apron all that much?

Even though the pocket doesn't get much use, it can still become a small source of stress—catching on a kitchen counter drawer handle while you're cooking, or on the table while you're setting it—so we placed the pocket on this original apron in just one spot, at the left hip.

Even with things inside it, the pocket won't get in the way of the counter or table, letting you go about your housework smoothly.

POINT. 3

Comes with a kitchen cloth that hangs on the apron

Housework involves washing your hands quite often. So we designed the apron so you can hang a cloth on it, ready to dry your hands right away whenever you need to.

The NAVY comes with a gingham check cloth.

The CHARCOAL comes with a striped cloth.

Of course you can use it to dry your hands, but it also works for drying dishes, as a makeshift mitt when holding a hot pot, or for quickly wiping down anything that catches your eye—having a kitchen cloth always within reach turns out to be more useful than you'd expect. Try it out in different ways and find what works best for you.

A fabric that draws on the best of both cotton and linen

For both the apron and the kitchen cloth, we chose the same cotton-linen blend fabric.

It's a fabric that takes the best of both worlds—linen's durability and quick-drying nature, and cotton's crispness and absorbency—making it a material that holds up well even on an apron put through the daily wear of housework.

Woven at a high density, the fabric has a crisp, firm feel that gives you a sense of standing up a little straighter when you wear it. It's a reliable apron that quietly supports you through your everyday housework.
