At the turn of the season, there are moments when you suddenly think: I wish I had something to throw on. The air conditioning on the train is a little too cold, or the evening breeze turns out cooler than you expected. We made a cardigan for exactly those small everyday troubles.

Soft against the skin

A 100% cotton cloth of the kind used for innerwear. It is lightweight yet has a comfortable substance to it, so it never feels bulky worn over another layer. There is a natural character to it, as though you had worn it for years - a vintage sort of warmth.

Light, and easy to carry

At around 170g it folds down small in your bag. Just the thing to keep on hand against the sun while travelling, or against the air conditioning on the way there.

Simple, quietly elegant design

A shorter body length keeps the line clean, and small buttons keep it understated. In grey and light grey, it sits easily with any style.

"The sleeves come down far enough to just cover the hands. The cloth has the right amount of body and stretch, so it doesn't feel bulky even over a thin long-sleeved top - that's what I like about it."

"It's on the short side, ending just below the navel, and the sleeves cover the hands. Buttoned up it lengthens the leg line and looks nice and neat. And since it fits in a bag, on days when I'm not sure whether I'll need it, it's reassuring to have it with me just in case."
