Things we want. Things we admire. We looked into the staff's favorites lists.

This time, we're taking a slightly different approach and sharing the results of our survey on "things everyone wants." What exactly is it that everyone wants? We went and asked around about all sorts of things.

Things you'll want someday, things you admire—why not make use of a favorites list?

Koban Bento (Small) fuki-urushi (wiped lacquer finish)

"I'll want that someday," "Wouldn't it be nice to own something like this," "I'd like to give this as a gift for that person's celebration"—do you have things you admire like this? As times and trends shift, what adults want tends to be"things you can care for and use for a long time"or"things that enrich daily life."Rather than being acquired on impulse—"I want it, I'll buy it!"—these kinds of things tend to be purchased at just the right moment: when there's space in the closet or shoe cabinet, or when you want to gradually build up a collection. That's where ZUTTO'sfavorites listcomes in handy. Let us show you how to use it again.

To use the favorites list, first click the"Add to Favorites List" buttonnext to the purchase button on the product page. If you're already logged in, items will be added right away, so if this is your first time using the feature, we recommend logging in and adding all the things you want, one after another!

Many of the ZUTTO staff who introduce "things you can use for a long time" are also people who take their time deliberating before making a purchase. Their favorites lists turned out to be full of ZUTTO products they want.

【Staff S's Wish List】

In charge of planning. The things she buys most often from ZUTTO are clothing, interior items, and care products. She wants to fill her surroundings with things she can talk about.

Bedale SL Oiled Jacket (10)

This is a jacket from Barbour that I've long admired. The oiled jacket, something of an icon for the brand, is especially popular among men, but ever since I saw a woman wearing one stylishly around town, I've been drawn to it. I imagine it would be surprisingly versatile—pairing it with leather shoes and pants for a bold, menswear-inspired look, or throwing it over a dress.

An oiled jacket is made from a fabric called oiled cloth—high-quality cotton soaked in oil—originally designed for sailors, fishermen, and dock workers who worked tirelessly in the harsh weather of the North Sea. The oil saturation makes the fabric wind-resistant and highly durable. Some people may have the impression that they're impractical because the waterproofing oil easily transfers onto other clothes and belongings, but oiled jackets have evolved over time, and they're no longer as greasy as before—as long as the oiled surface isn't pressed against other clothing for long periods, it's generally fine. I hear that once you get used to an oiled jacket bit by bit, you can't go without one, so I'd love to make my debut with one soon.

[Custom Order] Blanket DANAJA 0155 with linen (GREY/NATURAL)

The first time I saw this, I thought it was so novel. It's a gray blanket with wool on the front and linen on the back.I'd like to keep it at the office year-round and use it while doing desk work.

While considering blankets, I wondered if 100% wool would be warmer, but since I also want to use it in rooms with strong summer air conditioning, this linen backing was quite appealing. It seems easier to use than an all-wool blanket, and to avoid looking too warm and heavy, I thought I might place it on my lap with the linen side facing up.

Actually, both linen and wool retain heat and moisture, making them suitable for year-round use. Many people probably associate linen with summer in particular, likely because it can be washed thoroughly even after sweating, dries quickly, and feels cool to the touch since linen releases heat rapidly. But once that initial coolness passes, itnaturally adjusts to your body temperature.Linen fibers contain many hollow spaces, and in winter, they trap that air, holding in fresh, warm air. When you hear "warm because it traps air," you might picture down, but apparently, wool works on the same principle, andboth wool and linen trap warm, fresh air.I'd love to quickly drape it over my feet, which get cold in winter, or over my upper body.

Camphor Oil

As my collection of favorite sweaters and stoles has grown, I've becomemore concerned about moth damage and proper storage.Especially since I purchased a knit from ANDERSEN-ANDERSEN, a brand I've long admired, last year. I had been putting common store-bought mothballs in my dresser and clothing cases, but the artificial smell always bothered me. Wanting to take advantage of camphor's natural insect-repelling power, I'm considering buying some. Natural camphor blocks are popular too, but I'm drawn to this camphor oil in particular. Above all, it's practical to use.For hanging coats, you can drip a few drops onto paper or wood ornaments and hang them in the closet, or drip a few drops into a sachet and place it in the dresser—no extra waste involved.I really love the scent of wood, so I'd also like to make amoth-repellent spraythat I can spritz by the entryway or windows to keep insects away!

LEONARD BAG S (GREY)

Actually, I already own a TAMPICO bag (PETIT PANIER) and find it so easy to use that I've been thinking I'd like one more. This one has only been available relatively recently, but I was immediately drawn to how cute it looks, and I also love that you can change its shape. Lately I've been taking a lot of little weekend trips (domestically), and instead of a carry case I usually opt for a lightweight backpack. That said, in hot spring towns or resort areas a backpack can feel a bit too sporty, so I've had my eye on a larger, more feminine tote like this one that's easy to carry even with a dress. It's obviously useful for everyday life when you have a lot of luggage, but it's also cute that you can fasten both ends to make it compact when you don't have much to carry. I'm still deciding when to treat myself to it, but since it's about to get cooler, it would be nice to have it in time for the autumn outing season.

Wabou Cloth Kitchen Set

I want the kitchen set from Masuku Senshoku Kenkyujo, made from the pleasantly bumpy-textured wabou cloth (hand-spun cotton fabric). I had a chance to feel the texture while helping out with shipping work before, and it's been on my mind ever since. At first the fabric has a slightly rough texture unique to hand-spun thread, but apparently as you use it, it becomes soft and supple, and its water absorbency keeps improving. Since moving, I've been wanting to be a little more particular about the things I keep around me, and I think this kitchen set would be perfect for someone trying it for the first time! It comes as a set of three—a mini towel, a kitchen towel, and a dish cloth—and all three items have many loyal fans.

MANTERO Silk Twill Scarf (90×90) (4 ORANGE)

MANTERO SILK TWILL SCARF 3 BEIGE

This is a scarf I'm really drawn to. Actually, I don't own any scarves—somehow I always had the impression they were difficult to wear. There's a staff member at ZUTTO who wears scarves so naturally, and her styling looked so lovely that I wanted to try imitating it, so I'm considering buying one. Personally, my clothes tend to be in chic colors—black, gray, and brown tops and shirts are common, and I wear pants more than skirts—so rather than a small floral pattern, this piece with more of a modish impression is what I want most right now. The shade of orange is exquisite and would go with any of my tops, and it would also look lovely wrapped around the collar of a trench coat. With its glossy silk texture, I feel like it would make me feel like a more sophisticated dresser. After looking into it, I found that 90cm×90cm is said to be an easy size to start with, so I really want to make this my very first scarf!

Azumaya Rice Bin (5kg)

The Azumaya rice bin is one of the things I've wanted for a long time. I'm planning to make a last-minute purchase before the tax hike. I love rice and eat it often, but right now, living with just one other person, I've been storing it in the bag it comes in. I actually wanted to buy one in spring so I could keep the rice free of bugs through the summer, but I missed my chance. (Laughs.) If I had to pick just one thing from my wish list to buy first, this would be it!

It has a clean, unadorned look, made without using any nails or metal fittings at all. The kiri (paulownia wood) material has excellent antiseptic and insect-repellent properties, protecting the rice from bugs, mold, and moisture. It also excels at regulating humidity, making you feel the inherent function of a material that nature itself created.

【What Staff Member O Wants】

Shipping and customer service. Likes simple clothes and cute little accessories.

Velvet Ribbon Pouch

The moment I saw it, I was drawn in by how cute the pattern is. I love pouches and have been collecting various ones, but an embroidered pouch like this that you could keep using regardless of age is something you don't often come across, and I thought it was lovely. It was popular with customers too, so at first I held off buying one, but since I want to take it on a trip, I'm thinking it's about time I bought it. It's quite wide and seems like it could fit almost anything, so I'd like to use it as both a bag-in-bag organizer and a cosmetics pouch.

The linen cotton fabric is a bit stiff at first, but apparently after washing it softens up nicely and becomes even cuter. It's a popular item that many people buy multiples of as gifts.

【What Staff Member M Wants】

Planning. Likes standard items, but also has a fondness for designs with a bit of quirkiness.

Belgian Linen Sleeve-Panel Knit (BLACK)

FACTORY's clothes are always simple and easy to wear, yet they carry a certain modish air. With this knit, the body is knit fabric while the sleeves are woven fabric—the mix of different materials is unique. The sleeves are gathered with elastic, giving a feminine fullness, letting you wear them at your preferred length, and creating an exquisite contrast with the same-colored linen—a piece unlike any other. Personally, I'm not a big fan of layering, so when I saw how this mix of materials looks stylish on its own, I thought, this is it!, and added it to my wish list. I tried it on during a photo shoot and thought I'd like to pair it with white pants or a skirt, but I don't have anything suitable in my closet yet... I'm planning to buy it along with some bottoms and enjoy a monotone coordinate!

Professional プロフェッショナル Antique Brown Oiled

When you slip your foot in, dansko's Professional series wraps your entire foot snugly. It has a strong fashionable image, but in its home country of America, it's known as footwear for people working in restaurants and medical settings, prized for its functionality and design that reduce strain on the feet and lower back while remaining comfortable and easy to wear. The leather is stiff at first, but as you wear it, it gradually breaks in and the width adjusts to fit your own foot. The heel also has some thickness, which cushions the impact with the ground when walking, so you really don't get tired even after wearing them for long hours. Above all, dansko is an absolute must for rainy days—that's how reliable they are. Since the leather doesn't go limp, you can put them on without using your hands, which is perfect for me since I have a small child. Actually, I've been wearing this Black pair lovingly for 3 years now. You can wear them on rainy days, and the heel naturally boosts your style (the slightly rounded design also seems to make your feet look slimmer), so every time I've worn them over these 3 years, I've thought, "I'm so glad I bought these." Of course the black pair is still going strong and I plan to keep wearing it for good, but the brown has a vintage feel and seems like it could be styled differently from the black—so I'm considering buying it. My shoe closet is full right now, so I might just buy them the moment I make some room.

What are ZUTTO customers curious about?

Let us introduce a few items that ZUTTO customers have saved to their favorites lists in large numbers.

◆joha's Wool Silk series

Wool is a versatile material you can use regardless of the season. Among joha's Wool Silk series, the item that stands out as the most popular by far is the camisole. Its key feature is the generously open neckline, which makes it less visible as an inner layer when worn under shirts or V-necks. Navy is the most popular color.

Wool Silk Leggings (Navy)

Navy is also the popular color for the Wool Silk leggings. Many customers purchase the top and bottom as a set, and whenever new stock arrives, this inner layer sells out quickly with people buying multiples.

◆Small Carrying Box

The small carrying box from Kurashiki Ishou Keikakushitsu. This minimal little box is best kept not just as a single piece but in multiples around the house. It's truly handy for storing nail polish, making a small first-aid box, turning into a child's treasure box, using as an accessory case, keeping desk supplies in for office work, or as a sewing box holding just a needle and thread—perfect for tucking away just the things you want to grab quickly and use.

What a favorites list reveals is the true appeal of an item, along with new ways to use it. So please feel free to keep adding anything that catches your eye to your favorites list, and take your time enjoying your shopping.
