Natural leather is one of the common items that present a clear change in its color and texture. Let's look at the staff member's leather item and find out how the item acquired a stunning patina.

 

 

There are two colors for the coin purse; CAMMELLO and AMBRA.

 

 

The item is ZUTTO's original coin purse. Not only coins but also folded bills and cards could be placed in the purse. It is so compact that you could put in your bag or a pocket of your pants. We have made the purse with natural cow leather. 

 

 

There is an embossed logo of TEMPESTI.

 

 

The leather is made by TEMPESTI, which is a leading Italian tannery.  TEMPESTI uses the cow leather called ELBAMATT and gives vegetable tanning.

The leather contains lots of oil as it is processed in a barrel. The amount of oil is almost two times more than the one in the general process. By taking the time to let the leather soaked into the oil, the texture of the leather becomes matte and would have a beautiful sheen as you keep using it

Two of our staff members have used the purse for about two years and two years and a half. It is apparent that the colors of both purses are darker than the brand new purse. Also, you would find the used purses became thinner than the new one. 

 

 

 

 

Both staff members use their coin purses daily. They put coins and cards, touch the purse every day and place in bags. The whole process of using the item develops a patina of natural leather. Having a patina would be the reason to use the item for a long time.
