BONBONNIERE

Glitter

In Europe, it is customary to give sugar confectionery (bonbon) for each celebration such as marriage and childbirth, and bonbonniere refers to the confectionery container. It is said that "happiness dwells", and since Western culture was introduced in Japan during the Meiji era, it is still selected as a gift for the imperial ceremonies.

Lyngby Porcelæn's BONBONNIERE has a beautiful waveform that makes you feel functional beauty with less extra decoration. The form, which never gets old because it is simple, is a design that symbolizes the brand, which makes you feel beautiful at first glance.

Simplicity and beauty

Bonbonniere is one of the most popular series in the brand's archive. Inspired by the simple corrugated lines of the flower-based LYNGBY VASE, this is a reproduction of the limited edition 1944 item. Due to its nature as a souvenir, it is common for Bonbonniere to be decorated in various ways, but Lyng by Porcelæn's is a simple yet lean functional beauty. It is a design that can be created only by those who pursue "pure functional beauty".

This product is made in Poland, but Lyng by Porcelæn products are also produced in Denmark, Portugal, Thailand, etc. in addition to Poland. The person in charge of the manufacturer carefully examines and decides the manufacturer who has the technology suitable for the shape and material of the product and the glaze, and even for the products of the same series, we are particular about changing the manufacturer depending on the glaze. Inheriting the method of making at the time of establishment, each piece is carefully made. Also, in order to maintain a beautiful waveform in this series, the mold is thoroughly replaced after using it about 50 times. These polite manufacturing stances ensure the quality of Lyng by Porcelæn's products.

Originally used as a container for sugar confectionery, it can be used not only for storing other confectionery, but also as a jewelry box, a tea pack for visitors, and an accessory case around a desk. It's nice to decorate as an interior. As it is an item that can be used for various purposes, it is recommended as a birthday gift as well as a wedding and baby gift.

"Pure functional beauty"

Lyng by Porcelæn was founded in 1936 as a porcelain maker in Conges Lunview, north of Copenhagen.
It is based on "Holst & Knudsen", a pioneer of Danish ceramics, founded in 1904. At that time, porcelain was imported from a major manufacturer in Central Europe, but in the early 1930s, the import of cheap German porcelain was almost stopped, and the factory was established in-house. Strongly influenced by the idea of making simple and functional things beautiful without unnecessary decoration, which was born from the rationalist and functionalist ideas of the Bauhaus movement, in contrast to the decorative porcelain that was mainstream at that time. It is a brand that has made a fresh impression on many people with its design that incorporates the idea of simplicity and functionality.

The factory was closed once in 1969, but production resumed in 2012. With "pure functional beauty" as the brand concept, we combine traditional craftsmanship and advanced production technology to create new products that faithfully reproduce past archives and inherit DNA.
