With both small bowls included, they are perfect for serving side dishes or desserts, or even as small plates for casual use in your daily meals. The delightful colors of the red apple, the white reminiscent of apple blossoms, and the refreshing green create a vibrant display that brightens your table throughout the seasons.
Transparency that Enhances Your Dishes
The small bowl has a height that makes it just right for serving salads, delicacies, or yogurt. The small dish is invaluable for presenting salads, fruits, or cold dishes. The transparency unique to glass enhances the food, and its appearance changes with the light, adding to its charm.
The natural texture reminiscent of real apples is a result of each piece being finished by hand by skilled artisans. The soft variations characteristic of handmade items give each piece a warm, unique expression. Packaged in a decorative box, these bowls make excellent gifts, appreciated for occasions such as weddings, housewarmings, or seasonal presents, as they complement everyday life beautifully.
Warmth of Glass
In 1949, the manufacturer Hokuou Glass began producing fishing floats, marking the origin of Tsugaru Vidro. The floats blown by Hokuou Glass gained a reputation for their durability and quality, leading to the highest production volume in Japan by 1973. Subsequently, utilizing techniques like "sorabuki" developed through years of float production, they began creating handmade glass that evokes the nature of Aomori, resulting in the birth of Tsugaru Vidro in 1977. "Sorabuki" is a technique where molten glass is attached to a blowing pipe, and air is blown in from the opposite side to shape it. This technique allows for free-form shaping, testing the skill of the artisan.
Another feature of Tsugaru Vidro is its lustrous colors. The elegant hues that evoke the nature of Aomori are carefully blended by the artisans. Tsugaru Vidro, created by artisans who continuously strive for new techniques, has been designated as a traditional craft of Aomori. These glass products possess a vibrant charm while also exuding a certain rustic presence. They shine with beauty that you’ll want to admire forever, seamlessly blending into your everyday life.
