Aradaki Linen Layered Sleeveless Dress

The linen fabric used for this dress is dyed using a traditional method called "aradaki-zome." It is carefully dyed by hand by artisans in Toyama, who carry on the master craftsmanship long preserved by a long-established dye workshop in Tokyo.

The fabric is dyed slowly and carefully in vats much smaller than those used in ordinary dyeing. In this process, the fabric is worked so gently and gradually that even the core of the threads loosens up, resulting in a soft finish that feels gentle against the skin.

Another charm of aradaki-zome is its soft wrinkles. The fine creases that naturally form when worn give the linen a texture reminiscent of a piece that has been cherished and worn for years.

Easy to layer, simple in design.

The design has been kept as simple as possible so that it pairs easily with any kind of clothing.

It's also designed to be worn on its own as a sleeveless dress.

The armholes are adjusted for a balance that avoids feeling tight while also not being cut too wide. With a slightly uneven hemline front and back, the hem forms a subtle point when viewed from the side—a small design detail. The A-line silhouette, which flares out toward the hem, spreads beautifully and naturally with every movement.
