This is ZUTTO's packable convertible cardigan, which was well received when it was previously sold. This time, with the sweaty season ahead in mind, we've brought it back in the same design but with a fabric that has an even drier feel. It's made from a fabric with cool-touch functionality that feels cool when it touches your skin, giving us a cardigan you can wear even in the height of summer.

Another feature of this cardigan is its convenient packable design, which makes it easy to carry. When you hear "packable clothing," many people probably picture sporty items, but the "Gas Twisted Cotton SZ Jersey Packable Convertible Cardigan" defies that image, being a summer cardigan notable for its beautiful drape.

Convenient Packability

A spring or summer cardigan is something you need in various situations throughout the day, no matter where you are—guarding against the chill of your morning and evening commute, adjusting your body temperature while traveling, or coping with office air conditioning. This cardigan has a packable design that makes it easy to carry around.

There is a storage pocket on the inside of the back panel, so lay the cardigan with the outside of the back panel facing up, fold it lengthwise into a narrow shape about the same size as the pocket, fold it small from the neckline down, and then turn the pocket inside out to store it—this leaves you with something small enough to fit in both hands. Since the fabric is thin, folding it into its packable form goes smoothly.

Smooth and Cool

The fabric is a 100% cotton, tightly twisted jersey made using a special spun yarn that differs from ordinary tightly twisted yarn. The fuzz is burned off with gas as much as possible while still keeping some loft, resulting in a fabric that feels good against the skin. The gas singeing gives the fabric's surface a smooth, silky texture, which is what creates the cool-to-the-touch effect.

The gas singeing also gives the fabric a subtle sheen that keeps it from looking too natural or plain, even though it's 100% cotton. This texture is what makes the drape look even more beautiful.

The Gas Twisted Cotton SZ Jersey Packable Convertible Cardigan is a convertible dolman cardigan where the back panel connects all the way to the front panel. The back has a V-shaped neckline that creates an airy, relaxed look. Below it, vertical tucks are sewn in, and the volume created by these tucks together with the dolman sleeves forms a beautiful drape across the back.

Because of its rounded silhouette, the cardigan uses a generous amount of fabric, but the lightweight, thin material keeps it from looking clunky, giving it a smart look instead. The body is roomy overall around the sides and waist, while the cuffs are narrower, creating a contrast that was carefully balanced to keep the overall silhouette looking neat. Since it has dolman sleeves, it can be worn over short sleeves without the cuffs bunching up, making it comfortable to wear.

We've prepared two basic colors that are easy to wear every day: L.GREY and BLACK. The drape gives it a refined look, but since the jersey fabric gives it a casual touch, it pairs well with denim and sneakers for a relaxed style, and also works nicely with a pair of smart pumps for going out.

We offer a clothing alteration service.

Until now, whenever a customer's beloved item broke, we have worked with the maker as much as possible to create a repair process. However, when it came to clothing, we hadn't reached the point of offering a repair service unique to ZUTTO. But now that we've set up an in-house atelier for making clothes, we are able to offer "clothing alterations and repairs," and we have decided to launch this as a paid service for our customers.

"I'd like to shorten the hem of a skirt I purchased by 3cm."

"There's a hole in a knit item I own, and I'd like it darned."

"I'd like to hem a pair of denim pants while preserving the aging on the original hem."

We accept requests like these for mending and altering clothing. Of course, this includes items purchased at ZUTTO, but we will also accept items purchased at other stores whenever possible.
