The 6-Ounce Light Denim Flare Skirt achieves an effortless, comfortable fit thanks to its softly finished fabric and its roomy sizing designed to suit a variety of body types.

The waist features an all-elastic design that doesn't feel constricting, making it an easy choice for days when you'll be sitting for long stretches at work or walking a lot. What's more, a line of stitching runs through the center of the elastic, adding a subtle accent when you tuck in a top and keeping the overall look from feeling too casual. Seam pockets on both sides also add everyday convenience.

A flared silhouette for a slimming look

While letting you enjoy the gentle sway of the flare, we paid close attention to the balance of how it spreads out so the overall silhouette stays neat. The hips aren't overly wide, and the line falls gently down toward the hem, drawing the eye naturally downward for a streamlined impression. It's a nice touch that the skirt doesn't cling to the body's lines, yet doesn't look bulky either.

Light, soft light-denim fabric

We used a yarn with slubs kept to a minimum, resulting in a 6-ounce denim with a clean, smooth surface texture. The 100% cotton fabric is given a washer sofuron finish, which creates just the right amount of texture, softening what can otherwise be a stiff denim and giving it a gentle feel against the skin. It's further washed at the product stage, resulting in a soft, natural texture right from the start. Being lightweight, it doesn't look heavy, and even as the season progresses and tops get lighter, it still balances well.

The hem falls just below the calf, a length that's neither too long nor too short—just right. Denim skirts often feel restrictive, but I liked that the all-elastic waist let me wear it in a relaxed way. It's quite a lightweight denim, so it didn't feel as heavy as it looks, and I didn't get tired even after wearing it for a long time. The wide waistband design also serves as an accent, so I'd like to try tucking in a top for a more polished look as well.

Styling tips
