About ZUTTO's Four Seasons Tea Canisters and Tea Sets, this time we'd like to talk about the tea leaves placed inside each seasonal canister. These are carefully crafted tea leaves, made by artisans who take their time in the lush, mountainous countryside of Nara Prefecture. We chose four kinds of tea leaves, each with a particular season in mind, and we'll also introduce sweets that pair well with them and our recommended ways to enjoy them.

A timeless classic that never goes out of fashion: the striped T-shirt. The impression a striped tee gives off can vary depending on the width of the stripes and the color combination, but if you feel like you've had enough of the basic ones, we recommend a shirt with just a touch of individuality.

ZUTTO has newly created three white T-shirts, each made from a different fabric. At first glance, these white T-shirts may look the same, but subtle differences in fabric and small details make each one distinct in both how it's worn and how it feels. This time, we've also varied the design slightly to match the character of each fabric.

Compared to winter, when layering is part of the fun, summer is a season for easy, simple styling—short sleeves or sleeveless tops paired with skirts or pants. I find that having just one pair of pants with a subtly distinctive shape and character makes a real difference in how confident you feel through summer. With the thought "pants that look polished even when casually paired with a T-shirt—and ideally, ones you can wear year-round"—we created the Vintage Umaburo Hem Dart Tuck Pants.

The newly launched "Atelier Line" features clothing created in an atelier set up within the ZUTTO office, itself housed in a former school building. What makes this line distinctive is that a single designer handles everything from design to sewing, ensuring high quality while also allowing for flexible alterations and repairs. Rather than clothes that fall out of fashion at the end of a season, this series answers the call for garments unaffected by trends—ones you can mend and wear with affection for years to come.

The newly released tank tops and high-neck sleeveless tops, made from cotton-Belgian linen tenjiku (a plain-knit jersey fabric), are designed to be layered on cooler days and worn on their own during the height of summer, making them handy underlayers for the season when indoor and outdoor temperatures can swing so widely. They're a great choice not only for the peak of summer but right through into early autumn, when the heat still lingers.

This year, our staff actually visited Miyamoto Kogei in Hirosaki, Aomori, and we're pleased to introduce a basket we fell in love with at first sight. Since there are only a few producers left, we can only offer a limited quantity, but we've had it made in a custom design that improves usability. With its compact size and an atmosphere slightly different from our usual offerings, it's an item we'd recommend even to those who already use and love akebi (a wild vine used in traditional basket weaving) baskets.

By combining pieces you already own in a new way, even T-shirts you were about to give up on can come back to life—that's the unexpected discovery a patterned skirt paired with a simple top can offer. The tiered skirt newly completed by ZUTTO is just that kind of piece: a skirt with subtly embroidered botanical lace that flutters lightly as you move. The effect feels like a resort vacation, making it a skirt you'll want to bring along on your travels.
